Description
: The e-Business project involves catering to the
enhancement requirements of web applications under the health care domain. The
project involves enhancement of websites for health and lifestyle management
application that provides information and tools to help manage specific
conditions, diseases and illnesses.
The main applications under e-Business are HealthEnvelope.com, MyRxBenefits.com, PrecisionRx.com and WellPointRx.com. WellPointRx.com is a current e-biz initiative, which aims at bringing all the pharmacy owned web applications under one umbrella portal Client Services application. It also provides information on WPM’s pharmacy benefit management products and services to the public and members.
The application uses the pharmacy portal framework which adheres to
the UPI guidelines set by an architect group. The application deployment
environment is WebSphere Portal Server. This site was a secure web application
that provides members schemes with access to their insurance plan, benefit and
pharmacy information. An interactive interface was provided that allowed the
user to look up personal data. The application also had an elaborate website
administration module.
